About

I am just a simple human, trying to understand the world around me and my place in it.

I love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

I was raised in the Disciples of Christ denomination, but God is always leading me onward and upward.  I joined the Catholic Church on February 18, 2017, at Christ the King Parish, an apostolate of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP).

I am married with two children who are now grown adults.

I have a job to do, bills to pay, dinner to make, and errands to run.  And adventures to have!

I don’t know all the answers, but I do know none of it goes well unless I start with prayer. And all of it goes easier and faster when I enlist the help and guidance of Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

And I do think there is a plan.  A purpose.  A guided path for each of us.

I’m simply documenting the pieces of my path that I have uncovered so far, in case it is helpful to others.

I was wrong about some of it along the way…and right about some of it.  And God has to correct me and nudge me back into His Will.  Daily.

  1. Thank you so much for this post. I am currently experiencing many life-changing events such as yours and in rapid succession. My husband is a college baseball coach and we have 3 daughters. Courtney,10, Sydney, 8, and Sarah, 11 weeks. We just moved to a larger house to accommodate our growing family and the change at times can be overwhelming. I have always been a Christian but about 3 years ago truly gave my life to Christ and it changed my entire perspective. There are times for sure that the struggle is real but I am learning to lean into His word as well as just talk to him often
Your post was fun to read and I enjoyed the realness of the struggle.
Thank you for being so transparent. Looking forward to following from now on.

    1. Thanks, Holly! It’s always nice to hear I’m not alone in this journey of transformation. If you know others who could benefit, please feel free to share the links. I figure the more we keep the conversation going, the more people can experience His miracles!
