My Magnificat

My soul doth crave the Lord.

Only His peace, His truth, His way of life satisfies me into contented silence.

He has regarded the humility of my rock-bottom moment.

The cry of my soul, “Lord, show me how to do this for real,” was answered swiftly and powerfully.

His rescue of me is constantly elevating, with every “fiat” rewarded.

I am caught up in the thrill of the twirls of an ever-intensifying dance led by the most perfectly skilled Partner.

His saving grace overflows through the generations of family.

He hosts a Wedding Feast for all who will accept the invitation to come Home.

His Mother is there, nudging Him to give us His best Wine, and reminding us to do whatever He tells us.

For she is our Mother, too.

The one at the overwhelming gathering who notices you on the outskirts, instantly folds you into her arms, making you feel at home and part of the family, revealing how you have actually known each other forever and that you absolutely belong here.

My God is the Strong One, the Firm Rock.

“Where else would I go, Lord?”

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

My soul doth crave to magnify the Lord.

To rejoice in Him forever and ever, amen.
